The verb "to be" (verbul a fi)
I am – Eu sunt
You are – Tu eşti
He/ she is – El / ea este
We are – Noi suntem
You are – Voi sunteţi
They are – Ei / ele sunt


The verb to have – Verbul a avea
I have - Eu am
You have - Tu ai
He / she has – El / ea are
We have – Noi avem
You have – Voi aveţi
They have – Ei au


Exemples
We are friends – Noi suntem prieteni
You are Romanians – Voi sunteţi români
He has a book – El are o carte
We have a dictionary – Noi avem un dicţionar.

Bus tickets

If you need a bus ticket, you can use the following phrases:

A bus ticket, please – Un bilet de autobuz, vă rog

Two bus tickets, please – Două bilete de autobuz, vă rog

I would like a bus ticket – Aş dori / vrea un bilet de autobuz

I would like two bus tickets – Aş dori / vrea un bilet de autobuz

A season ticket, please – Un abonament, vă rog

Metro card

For metro card, you can use:

A metro card, please – O cartelă de metrou, vă rog

Two metro cards, please – Două cartele de metrou, vă rog

A metro card can be used for 2 or 10 trips.

Price

You can ask for the price in different ways:

How much it costs? – Cât costă?

What is the price? – Care este preţul?

Thanks

For thanks, you can use:

Thank you – „Mulţumesc” (any situation) or „mersi” (informal context)

Thank you very much – Mulţumesc mult / frumos.
